Living Room/Kitchen

Hello everyone!

Today we had a busy day, and our living room and kitchen are finally ready to be shown off! We took the pictures when it was getting dark, so the low light didn't really work too well with the camera, but trust us, it's awesome!

So that's the living room/kitchen! We still have some stuff to go through in the bedroom (lots of books to put away still) but those pictures should be coming soon. The bathroom is also done and we'll take pictures of that next time too.

The temperature has stayed at about 70-75, which isn't bad at all! The days are still busy and we still have a lot to do, but it's really starting to feel like home for us.

Look for more pictures in the coming days.

Tim and Cathy

Day 6/7: Home!

Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting last night, but we ran around allll day (after driving for 7 1/2 hours) and were so tired that we went to bed at 8 o'clock.

We went to Target to get some necessary items like bathroom stuff, tash bin, paper towels, etc. We then went to Ikea and got a desk and a chair, along with some other smaller stuff.

Today we're going to dive up to LA to visit Cathy's mom and to get some things that she has there. We're then going to go out to lunch with Cathy's uncle Larry and aunt Alexandra.

Then hopefully we'll get home and have enough energy to put away some of this stuff! It's somewhat of a mess but we'll be sorting it out over the next few days.

Once we have it all put away/organized, we'll take lots and lots of pictures and post them here. We'll also post the pictures we took coming from Utah to San Diego. Just be patient with us as we have a ton to do at the moment.

Look forward to another post coming within a few days!

Love,

Tim and Cathy

Day 5

Today's been a long but great day! We traveled down into Utah, visited Zion National Park, looped back around to Dixie National Forest, and to our current location in St. George, Utah.

The day started out as usual -- breakfast at the hotel. We then set out!

It was a clear morning, not a cloud in the sky. It wasn't long before we were in Utah.

We then traveled west until we came to route 15, then started heading south. We saw some great mountains/rock formations along the way.

We then had lunch at a tiny Mexican place in Hurricane, UT. We didn't bring in the camera, so no pictures, sorry!

Next stop was Zion National Park! It was absolutely beautiful. However, there was lots of roadwork going on and bumpy roads all over the place. We saw some amazing things though, so it was totally worth it!

There was a tunnel carved right through the rocks and it was pitch black! It had little openings every so often, just like rides in Disneyland. It was really cool!

We made it through the tunnel and on the other side was more amazing rocks. These look like someone painted them with a painbrush.

We then stopped at a pulloff and saw Zion's famous Checkerboard Mesa. It was breathtaking, and we got a random person to take a picture of us!

Since we couldn't really go back through Zion because of all the traffic, we decided to head back north then loop around through Dixie National Forest. Right when we got out of Zion we saw some bison and horses by the sides of the roads, so we stopped to say hi!

It was such a great decision to go to Dixie National Forest. It was very empty (the exact opposite of Zion) and was so beautiful. We stopped at Navajo Lake and Cathy got an amazing panorama and we took a picture together.

We then made our way back down south to St. George, UT where we are right now:

We got a great hotel room and decided to get some In N Out for dinner. If you decide to come out to the west coast for 1 thing, have it be In N Out Burger. It's amazingly delicious!

Our plan for tomorrow is to wake up early and head out, because we'll be home tomorrow! YAY! It's about a 9 hour drive, so it'll be a little long, but should be fun. Depending on what we decide to do tomorrow night, tomorrow's post might either be short or late.

Time for sleep now, though!

Good night.

Love,

Tim and Cathy
